Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 2016 and since then have worked in a wide variety of Physiotherapy settings across both Private Practice and Public Health.

His experiences have taken him all over Australia and the UK, working with elite level players in hockey, Aussie rules, cricket and the highlight being the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham!

Since moving to London, Chris has been working in Private Practice treating all sorts of ailments, as well as working for the NHS as a Senior First Contact Practitioner in the NHS.

Chris' passion is getting people back into sports and the activities that they love to do, with a particular interest in treating knee and back injuries, and anything sports related.

Outside of work, Chris love running, playing Tag Rugby, and watching every sport he can.

If Chris is not in the clinic, he will most likely be looking for a new adventure somewhere in Europe (probably using our Live Life Have Fun Work Policy!) – so please come in and give him your best travel recommendations!

Gloria graduated from Cardiff University with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy in 2023. With a diverse background in physiotherapy, she has gained valuable experience across various settings, including intensive care units, pre and post elective orthopedic surgeries and both NHS and private musculoskeletal clinics.


Since graduating, Gloria has been part of Surrey Physio, serving across private clinics including Balham Physio. She brings knowledge and a passion for rehabilitation and returning to activities and hobbies important to you. As a dedicated volleyball player and gym enthusiast, she possesses first hand knowledge of sports-related injuries and the importance of effective rehabilitation and technique.


With a keen interest in sports injury management, Gloria has volunteered at prestigious events such as the London Marathon, further enriching her experience in the field. Committed to providing personalised care and empowering patients on their journey to recovery.

Michael

Michael Jacob

Michael

Michael is a Physiotherapist who recently moved to London from Australia. After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2021, Michael has worked in a variety of different settings - initially working as a domiciliary Physiotherapist, then in the intensive care unit of an acute private hospital, followed by some rotational work throughout a public tertiary hospital, and finally for a private musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapy clinic. It was here that Michael's passion for musculoskeletal Physiotherapy blossomed.


Michael prides himself on using evidence-based practice, and believes exercise and strength and conditioning is the key to returning to your goals. He has a particular interest in lower limb sporting injuries, having worked with extensively with patients post-ACL reconstruction, and plans to do further study to grow and develop as a Physiotherapist.


Outside of work, Michael enjoys football (the global one and that weird one they play in Australia) as well as cricket. He is also an avid home-chef and is attempting (with minimal success) to learn how to speak Spanish.

Vedika graduated with Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam College of Physiotherapy, India 2019 followed by Masters in physiotherapy specialized in MSK rehabilitation practice from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom 2021. Since then she has been working in Private Practice treating different types of conditions, as well as working for NHS as a First Contact Practitioner.

She believes in holistic approach which aims to optimize not just physical function but also overall health and well-being, promoting long-term recovery and improved quality of life. She has also been part of the renowned London Marathon, where she gained some valuable experience in managing sports injuries.

Vedika is committed in  explaining treatment options, discussing progress and setbacks, and addressing any concerns or questions the patient may have in a manner that is easily understandable.



Will

Will Bateman

Will Bateman

Will is an Advanced MSK Physiotherapy Practitioner, who works as our London Clinical Lead for Surrey Physio, he has a wealth of physiotherapy experience across MSK, sports and the NHS.


He currently works in specialist Advanced Practice MSK diagnostic clinics in both Primary and Secondary Care, regularly referring and interpreting imaging. Will is also a specialist injection therapist, carrying out a large number of joint and soft tissue injections, Will is also an independent prescriber. 


Outside of work Will is a very keen gym attendee and runner, regularly competing in Hyrox and Crossfit Competitions. As well as being a keen golfer, and sport lover.  


At Balham Physio, Will carries out weekly injection clinics on a Monday. Please call to book your appointment.


Michael B

Michael Burrows graduated from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016, with a background in massage therapy. Michael has a great understanding of movement mechanics and injuries related to many sports, having previously worked as part of a team supporting semi-professional footballers and boxers.

Using a structural approach Michael’s first aim is to relieve pain, using a variety of techniques such stretching, massage, joint manipulation and acupuncture. Working on the principle that structure governs function he will identify imbalances and work with your individual needs to rehabilitate and strengthen areas of weakness.

Michael believes that although not everyone is an athlete, they should be able to perform at their best in daily activities and not be limited by pain or apprehension. His focus will be on helping you reach your goals whether it be walking to the shops without pain or reaching the top in your chosen sport.

Dorota Gill - remedial massage therapist. Her treatment combines techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, soft tissue release, and structural integration, to bring ease in muscular tension, alleviate pain, correct the body into alignment. She also uses relaxing massage and aromatherapy to help to restore balance, and achieve deep relaxation of the body and mind.

Dorota has over 20 years of experience working in the industry. She trained and refined her skills in Australia and the UK.
